For Passengers

Booking A Ride

To book a ride:

  1. Open the GV Ride app
  2. Enter your pickup and drop-off locations
  3. Select your ride option (car, MPV, etc.)
  4. Confirm your booking and wait for driver confirmation

Tips:

  • Always double-check your pickup point
  • Be ready when your driver arrives to avoid cancellations
Payments & Promo Codes

You can pay using:

  • GV Ride Wallet (top-up required)
  • Cash (depending on driver)
  • Promo codes (if available)

Promo Code Rules:

  • One-time use unless stated
  • Cannot be stacked or exchanged for cash
  • Misuse may result in account suspension
Cancellations & No-Shows

If you need to cancel a ride, do so before the driver is en route to avoid possible penalties.

*Note: Repeated no-shows may affect your rating and booking ability.

Rating Drivers

After each trip, you’ll be asked to rate your driver (1–5 stars).

  • Ratings are anonymous
  • You can also leave a written comment
  • Ratings help us keep service quality high
Ride History & Receipts
  1. Access past trips in “My Rides”
  2. Tap on any ride to view fare breakdown
  3. Tap “Download Receipt” for official record
Lost & Found

Left something behind?

  1. Go to “My Rides” → Tap on the trip → “Report Lost Item
  2. Our support team will help coordinate with your driver.

For Drivers

Driver Requirements

To qualify as a GV Ride driver:

  • Malaysian citizen with Blue IC
  • Aged 21–69
  • Full driving license (no “P” licenses)
  • PSV license
  • Vehicle under 15 years old
  • Valid road tax & e-hailing insurance
  • Puspakom cert (if car is >3 years old)
How To Register
  1. Submit your documents via the app or at HQ
  2. Complete selfie verification
  3. Pass the online or in-person training
  4. Top-up RM20 to activate your driver wallet
Training & On-Boarding
  • You must attend in-person training (Tuesdays & Saturdays at HQ).
  • Once training is complete and documents are approved, your account will be activated.
Credit Wallet Top Up Guide
  • RM20 top-up required to begin driving
  • Top up via the app using online banking
  • Wallet credit is used for platform fees, penalties, or incentives
How Ratings Work
  • Drivers and riders rate each other after each ride.
  • Your average score is based on the last 100 rides.
  • Poor ratings may affect incentives or driver status.

Tips to improve your rating:

  • Be punctual
  • Keep your car clean
  • Communicate clearly with passengers
  • Drive safely

Account & Verification

Why Selfie Verification is Required

Selfie verification protects your identity and ensures account safety.

Make sure to:

  • Use good lighting
  • Hold the phone at eye level
  • Remove masks/sunglasses
OTP Issues & Login Troubleshooting

Not receiving your OTP code?

  • Try switching to Wi-Fi or stronger signal
  • Reinstall the app
  • Free up phone storage space
  • If problems persist, contact support and send a screenshot of the issue.

Ratings & Feedback

How Ratings Work?
  • Both passengers and drivers give 1–5 star ratings.
  • You receive a rating once you complete 10 rides.
  • Your rating is an average of your last 100 rides.
How to Report A Driver or Rider
  • Use the rating screen to leave a comment.
  • For serious issues, WhatsApp us at 012-500 3217.
  • Include screenshots or videos if possible.
How to Flag or Remove A Review
  • If a review is inappropriate or incorrect:
  • Contact our support team
  • We will investigate and respond within 10 working days
